Gravity Repeat
When the ACO presented a screening of `Gravity`, followed by a conversation with Peter Taylor, at the Shortwave Cinema,  London, on February 2, the event was very over subscribed and was such a huge success that a second event has been arranged for 16th March at the Riverside.
Another is also planned later in the year in Ireland.

Big thankyou to all those who helped to organise the last event, and of course to Peter Taylor for the lively and informative discussion.

The Riverside event will certainly be equally as good!

There will be a video of the after show talk on the Website soon.

Second screening at Riverside Studios.

On the 16th of March 2014 the second event this year organised by the Association of Camera Operators took place at the Hammersmith Riverside Studios.

`Operating in Zero Gravity` a discussion with Peter Taylor ACO, Main Camera Operator on the Oscar wining production  `Gravity` Directed by Alfonso Cuaron, Photographed by Emmanuel Lubezki ASC, starring Sandra Bullock and George Cooney.

Peter Taylor just back from Los Angeles after receiving the Society of Camera Operators award for Camera Operator of the Year 2014 in the Feature Film Category.

This event was made possible with the assistance of Arri Media (Patron member of the ACO) and Warner Brothers.

A mixed audience of ACO Members, Film Students (from some of the main film schools and Universities in London) and members of the film industry enjoyed the presentation of the film and the subsequent Q&A session headed by Phil Sindall ACO (and on the 1st event last February by Peter Robertson ACO)

For those lucky to have been present at the 1st or 2nd event and had the opportunity to hear Peter’s enlightened account of the difficulties, pit falls and general mayhem of `Operating in Zero Gravity`
his abundant sense of humour and his description of working of this ground breaking film, kept us all enthralled!

Thank you to Peter Taylor for his generosity in sharing his knowledge.

We at the ACO are delighted with the success of these events and are looking forward to the next one featuring yet another of our great Members Peter Robertson ACO and his exceptional work on `Anna Karenina`
